Celtic sea salt

Coarse Sel de Guérande

This grey sea salt comes from the salt marshes of Guérande in France.

Moist grey coarse sea salt crystals on pale limestone.
Coarse grey sea salt of the kind harvested at Guérande.

Where it comes from

Its naturally moist, coarse crystals give it a different texture from dry table salt.

What it supplies

It is principally sodium chloride. Small trace-mineral amounts do not turn it into a complete mineral supplement. Unfortified sea salt is not a dependable iodine source.

In our range

Use it for seasoning and follow the pack’s storage advice.
