The Stomach & Digestion: A Holistic Wellbeing Guide

Digestive wellbeing involves food, rest, stress, movement and how you respond to symptoms.

Health Guide - The Stomach from Crystal Health & Beauty

Digestive wellbeing involves food, rest, stress, movement and how you respond to symptoms. A workable routine begins with nourishment and observation.

The wider digestive system

The stomach stores and mixes food and begins protein digestion. Much nutrient absorption takes place in the small intestine; the colon handles remaining material and water.

Make meals comfortable

Allow time to eat and notice portions that suit you. Record patterns before removing whole food groups. Restrictions need a clear purpose and a plan for review.

Fibre and variety

Beans, oats, fruit, vegetables and whole grains can contribute fibre. Increase it gradually if intake is low. Include sufficient protein and other nourishing foods; a cleansing drink cannot replace a varied diet.

Herbs and supplements

Read complete formulas and introduce changes thoughtfully. Feeling worse is not proof of detoxification. Coffee enemas, laxative cleanses and DIY chemical mixtures are not a suitable general digestive-maintenance programme.

When to seek help

Persistent pain, diarrhoea, unexplained weight loss, blood in stool, repeated vomiting or difficulty swallowing needs assessment. Severe or sudden abdominal pain requires urgent attention.

A manageable starting point

Choose one step, such as regular meals or slower eating. Record what changes without assuming that bloating means parasites. A holistic approach includes recognising when individual support is needed.
