How Our Colloidal Silver Soaps Are Made
How Crystal Health & Beauty makes coconut oil soap bars with colloidal mineral preparations.
Crystal Health & Beauty makes its colloidal silver soaps as finished wash-off bars. The silver preparation is one part of the recipe. The soap base, the scent and the way the bar is cured matter just as much.
A coconut oil soap base
The bars start with coconut oil. In this range, “coconut oil soap base” means coconut oil is the base oil. It does not mean the finished bar is a jar of oil, or that coconut oil is the only ingredient. Coconut oil and saponified coconut oil are different materials.
What happens in soapmaking
The soaps are made with a traditional lye-based process. An alkali is part of making the soap. As the ingredients react, the oils are transformed into soap. Raw lye is not a leftover active that we ask anyone to leave on the skin. The finished bar is the soap, and its full ingredient list belongs on the label of that bar.
Where the colloidal preparation fits
For the silver bars, our own colloidal silver preparation is added as part of the recipe. Copper bars use a colloidal copper preparation. The magnesium bar is a different mineral soap, and the jasmine gold bar is made with a 60 PPM colloidal gold solution. That 60 PPM figure describes the gold solution used during making. It is not a measurement of gold in the finished bar. A soap and a bottle of colloidal silver liquid are not interchangeable. Silver, copper and gold in the ingredient library describe the elements, not a whole formula.
Fragrance-free, essential oil and fragrance
Some bars have no added scent. Others are sold by a named aroma, such as lavender and ylang ylang, eucalyptus and peppermint, neroli, or Forget-Me-Not. A fragrance name is not automatically an essential oil, and an essential oil is not the same as a perfume compound. Each product page says only what has been confirmed for that bar. If a page does not name an oil, do not assume it is in the batch.
Cure, colour and storage
The bars are left to cure before they are prepared for customers. Handmade batches are not identical. Colour, marble and any glitter finish can vary, and a photograph is a guide rather than a promise that every bar matches it exactly. After purchase, keep the bar on a draining dish so it dries between uses. Standing water softens a bar sooner than it needs to.
What a silver soap is not
These are wash-off soaps. They are not a medicine, and the colloidal silver in a finished soap is not presented here as a treatment for infection, eczema or any diagnosed condition. Findings about other silver preparations do not transfer to a rinse-off bar. For the scent, mineral and current stock of a particular bar, use the handmade soap collection.
